The Outlier, Digital Art and Poetry, by joans-zone

The Outlier

I met someone recently, they
subscribe to the belief that one
can get through life without
damage, that you
grieve, move on, and
remain unchanged, a
myopic view, I thought. How

would an event or tragedy not
create fault lines in your very
existence. How could these
craze lines from emotional
distress not occur, and not
become a part of your
makeup? Like remodeling of

layers of granite, shifting,
hardening, erupting, forever
altering its structure. Be
suspicious of such an individual,
claiming to be immune to the
evolution of heart and soul’s
transformation, and to grief, heartache,

separation. Beware of the one whose
focus of life is always on self. Use
caution when you encounter this
interloper, most likely a
narcissist. Move on and
create distance, evade the
outlier. Remember, your scars

are your badges of honor. Your
journey, both a lesson and a
blessing, is your undeniable
truth and is shaping your
destiny.
