I Lay Down my Weary Pen

with a heavy
but certain heart
i pen these
last lines
to you
my words have traveled
across virtual space
many have found homes
in beautiful hearts
but their traveling days
are over
as my pen
closes its eyes, here,
i want to thank you
for following this simple writer
and for sharing your words with me

peace, joy, prosperity, good health and love

Oh my God! I am heartbroken. The Blog has been completely deleted. I am crying. I loved dear Inky. I wonder what happened! Just heartbreaking, and that last poem is heartrending. I was looking for the link on the internet as I had stopped receiving notifications of poems. And I found this, leading to your blig, Joan. I am now following you now that I have found you. I thought Inky was a “he”. But it doesn’t matter. She offered me some help via email recently when I had had a bad time on WP with some nasty emails etc. Just SO sad. And we will never see that marvellous poetry again! Heartbroken. Thankyou for telling us Joan. Xx

She used to talk to me such a lot and especially when I was receiving nasty emails from another blogger. She invited me to email her to help me to know what to do as I am blind and in a wheelchair. But I didn’t know it was a female. I am sadder than anyone could ever imagine. She encouraged me so much in my own writing and said how much she appreciated my comments on hers. A great loss indeed. However I have now found your blog through this so can read some of your work as well 😊

I too enjoyed her poetry so very much. Her poetry was the kind that made my mind and heart open and see things in new ways and brought beauty and hope. Wishing her all the best in her journey. Thank you for this post! It was like losing an old friend to not find her poetry and I had no idea what happened! At least here there is a place to say goodbye. Goodbye Inky, you are a treasure.
