Songs That Can Break Your Heart
It was the 70’s, it
seemed everyone was
coloring outside of the
lines, although it was Fort
Lauderdale, so not a
normal place anyway. It
was the time of Woodstock, a
youth movement, we thought we
could change the world,
like playing with modeling
clay, we thought all
was love, that the world
would remain a magical,
sacred place. Music
became my temple, and I
still worship at it. So
much of it tied to memories, it
seems I am traveling,
listening to songs that can
break your heart, love and
loved ones twined within the
movements, it is almost
palpable. How is it that
sorrow remains rooted in
your very bones,
crippling us, just slightly? It
reminds us that we
are delicately, magnificently
flawed and worthy of
redemption, worthy of love.
